As the Receptionist for the Race-West Company in our Riverdale, NY office, you will be the first point of contact and will provide administrative support across the organization. You will answer all incoming telephone calls as well as handle the flow of people through the business to ensure all reception responsibilities are completed accurately and delivered with high quality in a timely manner. Our Receptionist sets the tone for our company by being an outstanding listener and information source and knows all points-of-contact for every department within the company to promptly assist customers. In addition, he or she performs administrative duties and operates the telephone switchboard for call routing.

The ideal candidate has a four year degree from an accredited college. He or she must be reliable and dependent, have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong administrative and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Greets all customers in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
  • Manages all inbound phone inquiries and routes calls accordingly
  • Directs customers to the appropriate department or point-of-contact
  • Coordinates questions and issues with the appropriate department personnel
  • Oversees general administrative duties
  • Provides additional administrative assistance as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
